Weekly Recap

Phew, I think I am back you guys. It’s been a long summer, a super long summer and I have had my hands pretty full outside of the blog. But, just because I did not have the time to blog did not mean that I did not miss it or stop reading – I just didn’t read as much which makes me panic little because I am currently behind my goodreads goal for the year and still have so much books and ground I want to cover. BTW can you believe that it’s only like what, 4 months till freaken New Year? I think I can speak for many when I say I for one cannot wait for this year to be over.

Anyway, lately I really been into ghost stories and thrillers, especially domestic thrillers so if you guys have any recommendations, please let me know below. I just read The Marriage Lie and really enjoyed it

  1. Glad to see you back! Don’t stress too much over your Goodreads goals, I decreased mine. There’s no shame in it. 🙂

I haven’t had a great year either. So glad that fall is almost here and hopefully you’ll get a temperature break soon.

    Have a great week!

  2. Sophia Rose

I’m behind a bit on my GoodRead’s goal, too. Oh well. Maybe I’ll get a few shorties in to help me catch up at some point. 🙂

Nice haul. I haven’t read any thrillers lately, but I just got one in a giveaway, Seeing Read by Sandra Brown, I’ll let you know if its good after I get the chance. 🙂

  3. Let’s see domestic thrillers- I recently read The Good Neighbor and Emma in the Night. Both were good, especially Emma. Oh and Friend Request lol.

Stillhouse Lake looks awesome and I can’t wait to read it.

  4. Glad you are back and sorry you had a rough summer. It is crazy that the year is almost over. As for book recommendations, I love all those genres you mentioned but especially in the fall so I will keep a look out for new ones and let you know! You did read Kelly Armstrong’s Casey Duncan series right? If not definitely that one, it is so good and the third book will be out in a few months.

  5. You and I are in a similar kick, I’m catching up with Barry Lyga and read a lot of cozies, listening to a podcast now called The Black Tapes, if you like podcasts then I suggest this one.

  6. For me the year has been abnormally short. But then I’m strange. 🙂

Seems like I just read a good supernatural thriller but now that you asked, I can’t think of one. Brain has taken an vacay and doesn’t want to come back. 🙂

Hope the rest of the year treats you well! ((HUGS))

  7. I wouldn’t sweat the GoodReads goal. In years past I’ve even lowered mine mid-year because I was needlessly stressing over it. I decided I was being ridiculous and just lowered the goal. LOL I saw that Katie West has a new one coming out but I think I’m taking a little KW break. The last two from her have just been okay for me. Glad to see you back!

  8. Welcome back Lily! Busy can be good, but too busy is not so good, right? I hope you’ll find the time to read and blog as much as you’d like!
I can’t believe we’re in the final stretch of the year, either. It’s gone by so very fast!
Have a wonderful rest of the week and happy reading.
