My Overly Ambitious October/November TBR!

Posted October 8, 2017 by Lily B in discussion / 18 Comments

Hi guys! I hope you are having a great October so far. October is my favorite reading month because of Halloween and everything spooky and I definitely went overboard on my TBR pile, because I actually bought a bunch of books specifically for this month and they will just have to roll over into November I think. So I am calling this my tentative October/November TBR.

What is on your reading list? I really like to know, you know, in case I am missing out. But, let’s make this quick because there is a lot. Most of these are physical copies and some are ARCs.

Bought

Publisher

Borrowed

Think I will stop there, that is 27 books for October/November reading list and I have a feeling I’m missing a few. But, if I could get through half of these by December I’ll be pretty happy.

  1. There are some on here I definitely recommend like The Bickle books, The Raven Boys and the Omen series by Armstrong, some of my most favorites and while they aren’t necessarily scary they are really good and I hope you love them. Good luck with all your reading!

  2. I have read a few of these. I enjoyed Gwendy’s Button Box and Harry Dresden is always a favorite. I do hope you have better luck with Final Girls than I did. So many of the other books on your list are sitting on my tbr list waiting for their turn. Good luck!

  3. You HAVE to read The Hallowed Ones. It’s so good and perfect for this time of year. Out of the rest, I’ve only read Ten & Final Girls. Both were meh. I have a lot of the rest on my tbr too.

  4. You have a great list up there. I have a good marjority of them. I would say skip Final Girls, it was kind of disappointing. Happy to see Anna Dressed in Blood. I really need to check out Friend Request.

  5. Whoa, that’s a serious TBR! 🙂 I’ve only red a couple of them on your list. The Raven Boys which I thought was okay but I decided not to continue with the series. I am definitely in the minority though because most people LOVE that series. The Awakening was a good one – I enjoyed it. And Omens… that one just confused me. LOL I honestly couldn’t figure out what the book was trying to be and it just didn’t work for me. But again, I’m in the minority because it has pretty good GoodReads ratings. Can’t wait to see your reviews of these!

  6. Oh your Halloween themed header is so cute! I don’t plan out monthly TBRs since I’m a mood reader, but I do plan to finally read my Claudia’s Story GN that I recently now that I have finally reread Interview with the Vampire and refreshed myself on the story! And I have two ridiculously highly anticipated series book releases this month!

As for your list, I just got really excited earlier when I realized my library has an ecopy of The Diviners! I had planned to read The Raven Boys series this year, but, ah… haven’t gotten around to that yet lol. Can’t wait to see your thoughts on those and some of the others that look interesting!

  7. Holy wow, Lily! That’s my kind of haul! lol. You have several of my favorites up there — I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on those as well as the ones I haven’t read. I highly recommend The Hallowed Ones, Anna Dressed in Blood, and The Raven Boys. Love the header! Happy reading 🙂

  8. My October list is all over the place. It’s mixed with ARCs and tbr’s. I’ve started listening to more audiobooks so I feel like I’m getting more reading done on that end. LOL.

Good luck with yours! Those all look interesting, especially Stalking Jack the Ripper.
