Weekly Recap

It’s been a long week. Probably the longest week in my life. I’m glad it’s over. I won’t be talking about the election here. Not because I am afraid to, but because there is still a lot of feelings and thoughts that I need to wrap around before I open my mouth and voice my opinion.  Especially to family and friends who don’t feel the same way. There is a lot of anger and frustration, especially since I live in a swing state that I chose to avoid Facebook for a long while.

Other than a very stressful and sad week due to the election, it was long period. Husband got sick. God-mother’s father passed away. My father in law and I continue to clash. My mood for anything I read has been blah. I am seriously reading like 3 or 4 different books right now, hoping something sticks. Feels forced, might try something else.

I hope next week will be better. I think it will. With my husbands job wrapping up for the season, I voiced my opinion of wanting to get a job for the winter. I think it will be good for me.

Also, we started watching Superstore and Oh my goodness that is so funny. Is anyone watching Westworld? that show is so twisted, so good.

  1. I love Superstore, it is the show I save up episodes for when I really could use a laugh, I’m so glad you are watching it! I will check out the other one you mentioned, I haven’t heard anything about it.
I’m sorry you are having a hard time right now, especially still with your father in law, you know I’m here if you want to talk/vent. 😉 *hugs*

  2. I am liking Westworld a lot. I have to watch tonight’s episode yet but I thought last weeks was awesome. We’re starting to get some more clues now, and I love seeing all the theories out there.

Facebook is hard w/ the election, no doubt. I almost never get on anymore but when I do I see people arguing about the political stuff, and it’s sad to see. A tough week, no doubt. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope the new week is a better one!

  3. Oh hon, I’m sorry! I can’t believe what happened in the election and I’m in Australia so I can’t imagine what you guys are going through. (hugs) I’m also sorry about all the tough stuff going on in your life — here’s hoping for a good week ahead. (PS Westworld — watched two eps and haven’t yet gone back — sounds like I defintiely should!)

  4. It was a long, emotional week. I just want the animosity and unrest to go away. It makes me sad. I hope things perk up for you. Hang in there.

  5. I’m working on fury right now before I say more about that dreaded election. I’m sorry you are having a hard time of things. ((HUGS)) At least you get to see Westworld! 🙂 I have to wait for a free weekend to catch up. 😀 Thank you so much for stopping by my blog last week. I really appreciated it and what you had to say. ((HUGS))

  6. oh wow…what a week you have had!!! I am like you though, I have stayed away from Facebook, because its so negative and hateful, I just can’t be around that right now. I hate being in a reading slump….hope you get over it soon.

  7. Gosh Lily, it sounds like it’s been crap all round lately. Tensions are high enough in the US at the moment without family trying to lock horns with you. I hope the tension breaks and the situation starts improving soon. Poor poppet. If you ever need to chat or just vent, hit me up on Twitter sweetheart, I’m always happy to listen <3
