Weekly Recap

Hi guys! Hope everyone is enjoying their October. We finally got some rain here this week, we been slowly going into some really bad drought because we had not had any rain in a month which is unusual for this time of year, it kind of felt like August was a month late this year – and we are in PA so figure that one out.

Outside of that I haven’t really been motivated this week by much, it’s turning cold again, the leaves are changing, it’s becoming beautiful outside. We all had a cold and the congestion does not seem to want to go away.

Anyone has been watching some good fall TV lately? I’m a little down because all my shows keep getting cancelled and to be honest that is just way too frustrating these days. I can’t even get into a show because of the fear that it won’t come back and I hate cliffhangers.

Also Hockey has been back but my team can’t seem to win.

Ha, anyway on the bright side. I read 5 books out of my TBR, which does not seem like a lot in retrospect to my TBR but I’m pretty happy. Also my first Bookoutlet haul came in and outside of getting one book wrong, I am pretty impressed.

  1. Nice batch of books. I spy a few I want to read too. I’m frustrated about shows too. Have several series that never came back and I get your reluctance to start new ones. Good thing we’ll never run out of books. LOL

    My Sunday Post

  2. TV shows seem to disappointment me a lot, too.

Congrats on getting through 5 books! I’ve been trying to tackle my ARCs and get ahead. It’s been easy reading but now I have to write the reviews! Short and sweet is what I think I’ll do. πŸ™‚

  3. Ooh nice haul from Bookoutlet! And 5 books read? Nice! I hear you on canceled shows, I was watching Dark Matter and that got canceled on SyFy. So irritating.

I’ll have to go check your review for Friend Request, I read that one too.

  4. Oh, no .. hope you all get better soon. I’m hoping I can make it through the season without getting sick. Lets see how well that works out. lol. I totally feel you on the whole TV show thing. It’s so frustrating. Well, have a great week, get healthy! πŸ™‚

    • too much fun, I already added more to my Cart and I cant buy them in a while heh. I heard The Good Doctor is really good, my family loves it

  5. I’m watching Outlander (season 3) and it makes me really happy <3
Yay for some rain, but boo for the cold and the congestion, I surely hope you feel better soon!

  6. Nice that you finally got some rain. We’re *finally* supposed to get some cooler weather here this week. Temp’s have been hovering just below 90 degrees for weeks now. Ugh. Tomorrow will be at east 10 degrees cooler and I can’t wait! Hope you’re enjoying The Awakening! That was a fun trilogy.

    • I am πŸ˜€ currently reading it and loving it, wishing I had finished it by now the last few days have been busy. Hope it cools down for you a bit soon!

  7. Oh 5 books a week is awesome. Oh so sorry about your TV shows. I haven’t watched any movies/series these last few months. But I watched some videos on YT. I hope you can find some TV shows that you like this week, Lily. Happy reading, my friend. Have a wonderful week. ❀️😁

  8. I haven’t watched any shows lately after Game of Thrones (except anime hehe) but two of my favorite shows are back this month (the other one is coming next week) so I guess I’ll be back being friends with the TV again πŸ˜‰

And wow, looks like you’ve got yourself some good books. Hope you can read more amazing books this week Lily πŸ™‚

  9. Oh no on the crud hitting. That is always a bummer. It’s done the cold and leaves changing bit here but thankfully have managed to avoid getting sick. Fingers crossed. lol Hope yall are feeling better soon!
