Weekly Wrap Up #13 – October almost over?!

Weekly Recap

I cannot believe how fast October is flying! The next week in a half is going to be gone in a blink of an eye and then we are into the Thanksgiving month and Christmas.

Halloween should be fun, Trick or Treating this year in town is happening on Halloween because it will be on Tuesday so I guess it isn’t a worry for the townships.

My friend’s birthday is also October 30th, but we celebrate it with them on Halloween.

As far as reading this week I am a bit disappointed. I have been reading Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children way too long now. It was a slow start and I had the hardest time getting into it, I still do. I’m hoping to push through it today so I can move on with my life, I’m not sure how I feel about it. It’s kind of boring. I thought it be creepy, it was recommended as a creepy read by a few people, but it’s not. I tried the Audiobook because my library had it online and oh geesh I found it terrible.

I still have so much I wanted to read before Halloween, but it’s like really around the corner.

I placed another bookoutlet order, because I cannot seem to help myself.

How was your week. Any Halloween plans?

  1. I know, the year is just flying by! Too bad about Miss Peregrin’s. I’m debating if I want to request The Chalk Man. It sounds good. 🙂

  2. I have It on my shelves and really, really, really want to read it soon. You’ve got tons of really great reading ahead of you with all of these books. I know that Halloween and scary reading is coming to an end soon but I don’t think that my reading will change all that much lol. I just can’t resist a good thriller or mystery read! Have a great week and happy reading!

  3. I’m sorry Miss Peregrin’s isn’t working out for you Lily, maybe take a break from it, and try something else? I can’t believe how fast this month has flown by either, there’s still so many books I want to squeeze in! I hope you have a great week! 🙂

  4. Oh no!!! I got Miss Peregrine’s Home and the second book from the library for one of my spooky reads. Guess I had better lower my expectations.

I did get to read two cozies with Halloween themes so that was fun. I watched the new Agatha Christie And Then They Were None for my fall spooky movie. It wasn’t too bad.

    Have a good week, Lily!

Oh, I really want to read The Chalk Man. I hope it’s a good one! There are so many books I wanted to read around Halloween, but ah well, I’ll read all the spooky/thriller type of books into the rest of the holiday season. LOL No Halloween plans for me. I work that day, and we can dress up, so we’ll see if I can find something a little fun! I don’t have a legit costume.

  6. Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children was one I enjoyed, more supernatural than creepy. I love the photos. Now It is a fav and you have me looking up Chalkman. Hope the week ahead is filled with good reads and smiles.

  7. I’ve watched Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children and it was so-so. I’ve been trying to read the book though because I think it would be better, but I guess I have to pause that plan.
Hope you’ll have better reading week this week Lily 🙂
