Weekly Recap

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying your weekend and your June. It’s been so rainy here. We have been experiencing rain at least 2-3 days a week, which has been hard on my husband who works in landscaping and getting out there to get anything done.

Thank you for all your support on my last update about my health issues <3 I figured if I shared my griping I should share some results. I have gastritis and ulcers and an eroded stomach lining 🙁 and have been put on a really strict bland diet. That means no coffee to you guys, just water for probably a couple of months. It’s going to be hard going without coffee, especially with a four-year old that just goes and goes and goes.

This week in reading has been slow due to doctors appointments and stress. I’m hoping next weeks reading is better and I can catch up on my large TBR.

  1. I’ll take your rain! This way your husband can get back to work and my lawn can be saved. LOL Oh gosh, sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I know it’s good to have some answers but the bland diet sucks. Blah. Hope you manage to get some more reading in this week!

  2. I feel you. When S gets cranky, mummy eats sugar. So to live without sugar. I feel for you! But health is important and I know i can do it

  3. It’s been raining here too practically every day, and the rivers and lakes are so high. Sorry to hear about the health issues! Restricted diets like that can be tough since it’s frustrating, but good luck with yours and hope it’s not too irritating! 🙂

    Finder looks good!

  4. We have so much rain too!! And like Greg, our water levels are so high! I can see how that would be frustrating to your husband.

I am sorry to hear you are having some health issues – hopefully they can be resolved soon. And you can have coffee again! (I have a four year old too – coffee is vital…)

  5. I am glad you got some answers regarding your health. I know giving up coffee is hard, I did it for three weeks this winter. It gets easier. We haven’t had as much rain this year, which doesn’t bode well for fire season. Ugh. Hate the smoke. Hope you have a wonderful summer.

  6. Sorry to hear about the bland diet, but I’m happy that you finally have a diagnosis! I recently gave up coffee myself, so I feel your pain. Continue to take care of yourself and the little one. We’ll be here to support you no matter what!

  7. Good to hear you might be getting some relief with answers, but sorry to hear you have to live with a bland diet for a while! No coffee, ack!! Hope the diet changes help. Happy reading, Lily! 🙂

  8. I’m sorry about the health stuff, but I’m glad you have some answers at least. Hopefully the diet will help, although I’m sure it’ll be tough having to go without things like coffee. Feel better, and I hope you’re enjoying your books!
