Weekly Recap

Happy Weekend everyone! Hope your Sunday is going well. I missed a post last week because we traveled to NYC for my husbands, sisters and brother in law’s birthday celebrations. Yup, we have three march babies stacked on top of each other. Makes the birthdays easier I suppose 😉

My reading time has been cut in half because of that. Plus, I have been listening to audio a lot lately as well, glad to be using my local library overdrive even if it is small.

I also started wrapping the books on my shelves in hopes of reading them and clearing out some of the books that I was never going to read. I want to give my physical books a shot, even if it’s a book I got that I would normally not read. I am seriously running out of space, so my goal is to read at least one physical book at all times. I’ll reveal my next read during these weekly wrap ups when I am ready to read one of the wrapped books.

  1. I ended up giving away quite a few of my physical books before we moved, because I didn’t want to have to pack and carry them all!

Hotel on Shadow Lake is one I’m looking forward to, hope you enjoy it!

  2. That’s great you got to visit your family in NYC!! My daughter was 24 on 3/15!! I have To Kill A Kingdom on my evergrowing pile of want to read books!! Have a great week!!

  3. I was just thinking I need to clear off my shelves of physical books. So many I won’t re or re-read that I need to get rid of. Must do a giveaway! I got a copy of Starry Eyes, too, and I’m excited to pick it up as I love Jenn Bennett’s writing. Hope you have fun with all the BD celebrations! 🙂

  4. It can be a nice thing to have a group birthday party. Ours are very scattered.

I have given a thought to reading more of my physical books or at least to removing them if I know I’m never going to read that book. It’s a steady project. 🙂

The Naturals looks good and yay for the new Jenn Bennett.

    Have a great week, Lily!

  5. I have a couple of shelves that have unread books. I plan to work on those now. I do love print books. Sounds like a lot of fun celebrating all of those birthdays. And I spotted several books you shared that I want to check out.

  6. I can totally relate, I also have a hard time keeping up with my physical books, hehe. 3 members of our family shared birthday months too so we usually just go for a shared celebration. It saves money and planning plus it’s more livelier too, don’t you think? Hehe

  7. Hope everyone had a happy birthday. 🙂

I feel ya on running out of space and I’ve actually started doing what you do. I have one physical book from my TBR going at all times too.

Hope you have a great week!

  8. I have a month like that in my family. We’re bombarded with birthdays in October.

My copy of To Kill a Kingdom was just delivered yesterday. I wanted the paperback which meant I had to order from Book Depository. It takes a little longer but I like being able to get the edition I want. Hope you’re enjoying it!
