Weekly Recap
Happy Sunday everybody! Happy Orthodox Easter Sunday to anyone out there that Celebrates it. This week has been long and busy for us out here. Right after April Fools Day when the weather was gorgeous and warm, we woke up to snow day. It was like mother nature was playing a joke on us the day after. It did warm up some so my husband was able to go back to work a little, hoping things will start to pick up soon. I have a special giveaway from the publisher for my US readers, enter below.
I have made ground on my physical TBR with my mystery picks so that is exciting. My goodreads Challenge is at 31/120 books.
I listened to Hounded by Kevin Hearne and WOW wish I picked this up sooner. I had a physical copy of it that I started and put down, but the audiobook was just amazing, I have a full review coming this week.
Currently reading a few books, but struggling with All the Beautiful Girls - it has sexual abuse in it and it has not been an easy read.
My next physical TBR and the mystery pick was - Nil (Nil, #1) by Lynne Matson
How are you guys doing?

Yes, that snow is just such a surprise in April when the flowers think it’s spring. 🙂
I love Luke Daniels’ narration of The Iron Druid series. You’ve got a treat in store with this series.
Have a good week, Lily!
I’m reading Hounded right now and it’s not quite wowing me. I know someone else who loved the audibles so I think I’ll try that for the series. Its been weird everywhere this week. Snow, rain, and cold temps. I sure hope this is the last of it!
My Sunday Post
I really need to try the Iron Druid books. I’ve wanted to, and I hear great things. I’m glad you are enjoying them- especially the audio versions. 🙂
I think it might rain early this week and then get nicer, so fingers crossed (and for you too)! And hopefully no more snow. LOL

Isn’t it funny how an audiobook is so much better than actually reading it? There are some books that I will only listen to.
Hope you enjoy your new reads! Have a great week.
We’ve been in the 70’s until Thursday, and this morning we woke up to snow. So crazy! All the Beautiful Girls was difficult in parts for me too. Hope you have a great week.🙂
I agree that sexual abuse is hard to read about. I’m curious about the Iron Druid Chronicles from reading Kimba’s comment that she doesn’t want the series to end. Enjoy your reading week!
I can’t believe how winter is hanging on- we had snow twice last week! It didn’t stick around but still…
Nil looks like a fun read! And I want to read starry Eyes too…
Oh the crazy weather!! I can’t wait for spring to be here with no snow! Good job on getting through your books. Have a great week!!
I really should try Hearne!
ugh let’s me start by saying sorry I’m so behind with visiting but last week my kids were sick and ugh.. sorry!
So… let’s now focus on your wonderful Sunday post Lily!
Wow 31 books! That’s great WTG! I’m pretty sure you’ll surpass your 120 goal! Thank you for hosting this giveaway!
oh… All the Beautiful Girls yup sexual abuse is not an easy topic to read!
I will have to see if my library has Hounded in audiobook. I tried reading the book years ago and just couldn’t get into it at all. Maybe the secret it listening to it. 🙂
I have heard so many great things about the Iron Druid series on audio. I have the first few audiobooks ready to go and hope to start the series very soon. This year the weather seems crazy! We just had snow yesterday and it never snows this late in the year! Have a great week!
We are finally out of the snowy season, thank god 🙂 although we did have snow right before Easter. I hope spring comes to you soon too 🙂
I wish I’d continued with K Hearne’s series. I enjoyed the first book, too.
I hope you’re having a lovely week!
Nil! I hope you love the book. I really enjoyed it and the rest of the series is pretty good too (though I felt a little underwhelmed by the conclusion novel). Happy reading!
Have a great week. =)
