Weekly Wrap up #15 - Sick again

Weekly Recap

Ugh guys, I shouldn’t be surprised by this anymore right? I have been sick for the 3rd time in the last 2 1/2 months. Twice in September, luckily not once in October, but that’s okay because it caught up with me early November. It’s amazing the amount of germs toddlers can carry!

It was a good week otherwise. Most of you have already known we had a great Halloween, got lots of chocolate, my son is obsessed with it so he was super happy he got to ask people for more chocolate heh. He went as Cat Boy from PJ Masks, but I forgot to take pictures, because I was so caught up in the moment.

I am going to continue reading thriller, mysteries and some scary stuff through November if I can because starting December 1st I am throwing myself into Holiday books, and November just happens to be a good month for the creepy stuff as well.

Yes I am still reading Dreadful Dreams, no I am not hating it. It’s taking me this long because the device I was originally reading it on made a disappearing act, so I must find it 🙂

  1. What do you think about Kindle Unlimited? Do you find that it is worth it? I’ve been seriously considering getting it but I already have so many books on my own shelves and on my reader that I was worried I wouldn’t use it enough to really be worth it. I would love your thoughts! I feel like I’m always in the mood for thrillers or mysteries but I’m thinking I need a change of pace - maybe I should throw in a historical romance this month to switch it up a bit. Have a great week and happy reading!

    • Samantha, I would take a look at the books on Kindle Unlimited first and see if you see a ton that would truely interest you.
They also have a 30 day free trial, so if you don’t want to pay for it but want to try it you can try the one month free. If you find yourself reading only 1 book from it than I guess you have to sit back and debate rather it’s worthy the I think it’s 9.99 a month?
I have a ton of books as well and honestly I probably don’t need it either, but there was a bunch of books on there (paranormal indie) that I really wanted to try and the cost of Kindle Unlimited was cheaper than individual kindle books, so I tried it and so far I am enjoying it, even if the last thing I need is more access to more books. Heh, but it allows me to explore some authors I have had my eye on for a while.

  2. Bummer about the germs not leaving you alone. That’s a great idea to keep up with the spooky reads. Go with the mood, right? And November is just as crisp and fallish, and hey, it gets dark earlier. 🙂 Enjoy your haul.

    Feel better, Lily!

  3. Nice haul this week. I’m still reading suspense, thrillers and horror too. They are my favorite genres and I read them year round. I’m sorry you’re sick again and hope you shake it off soon:)

  4. UGH to more sick! Sorry to hear you’re going thru so much illness. The last few months have been rather unfortunate wellness wise as well. Looks like you’ve got some lovely new books to keep you company, though 🙂

  5. Oh no, not sick again! Poor you. 🙁 Hope this one passes quickly at least. Glad Halloween was such a success! Hope you’re enjoying Night Road. I adore Kristin Hannah and that was a really good one.

  6. So sorry to hear you’ve been unwell Lily, it must already be exhausting without feeling ill. I’ve got the flu for the second time in as many month too and I’m so sick of myself already. I hope you’re feeling better soon. Really looking forward to seeing what you think of This Mortal Coil, I have that one for review as well <3

  7. Being sick is the absolute worse, especially when you’ve got so much stuff going on too, I’ve haven’t been feeling the greatest lately either, but I’m hoping it’ll pass, I think all this lack of sleep is finally catching up with me! I hope you feel better soon and have a great week! 🙂

  8. I hope you’ll feel better soon! Being is the worst! I like the look of This Mortal Coil, reminds me of Hamlet! Have a great week and happy reading!
